Hans William Borgmann, age 78, of Chase City and formerly of Pennsylvania, died Friday, Feb. 12, 2021. He was born on May 8, 1942 in Philadelphia. 

He was a United States Air Force veteran. He was a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 542 in Pennsylvania. Hans was also a member of Easter’s Hunt Club, the English Setters Club, and the local Beekeeper’s Club. He was an avid hunter and outdoorsman; he loved to train bird dogs, especially brittany spaniels. 

Hans is survived by his sons, Peter Borgmann (Jodi) of Warminster, Pa., and Hans Borgmann Jr. (Patricia) of Horsham, Pa.; grandchildren, Claudia Elizabeth Borgmann, Peter Borgmann Jr., Connor Borgmann, and Angela Carr; best friend of 40 years, Rochelle Mullaney; brother, Fred Borgmann of Florida; sister, Marianne Mullin of Florida; and nieces and nephews, Kurt, Eric, and Fred Borgmann, George, Paul, Bill, and Jason Winslow, Patricia Privette, and Lora Cunha. 

He was preceded in death by his wife and the mother of his two sons, Diane Elizabeth Borgmann. 

A memorial service will be held in Hartboro, Pa., at a later date.
