Harold Glenn Garrett Jr., 78, of South Boston, died Sunday, Nov. 5, 2017. He was born in Halifax County on March 22, 1939, a son of the late Harold Glenn Garrett Sr. and Mildred Moore Garrett. He was married to Milly McCanless Garrett, was a member of First Baptist Church of South Boston and retired from Halifax Cotton Mill.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Garrett is survived by one son, Harold Glenn Garrett III; one daughter, Katherine Waltman and husband Dean; one brother, Thomas E. Garrett; one sister, Susan G. Whitlow and grandchildren, Chad Waltman, Brad Waltman, Will Dillard and Eliza Dillard.

Graveside services were held Wednesday, Nov. 8 at 11:00 a.m. at Oak Ridge Cemetery with Dr. Bob Ballance officiating.
