Hattie Sue Jordan Terry, 92, of Baltimore, Md., formerly of Halifax County, died Sunday, Dec. 19, 2010. She was born in Halifax County on April 6, 1918, a daughter of the late Matt Jordan and Pearl Tuck Jordan and was married to the late Joseph Daniel Terry. She was a member of Jeters Chapel Baptist Church.

She is survived by two granddaughters, Penny Sue Wagstaff-Brown (James) and Pamela Wagstaff-Jackson (Michael); five grandsons, Charles Edward Terry (Anita), Neatom Gerald Paylor, Henry Wagstaff (Debra), Douglas Ray Wagstaff (Diane) and George Victor Wagstaff, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Patricia Lee Terry and two grandsons, Harry Wayne Paylor and Nathaniel Wagstaff.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Jeters Chapel Baptist Church with Rev. Antori Brown officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will have viewing today from noon-3 p.m. at Jeffress Funeral Home and one hour prior to service.
