Inez Medley, 92, of South Boston, died Monday, Nov. 16, 2020 at Sentara Woodview Nursing Home. She was born in Caswell County, N.C., on June 18, 2928, daughter of the late Johnnie Stewart and Fannie Phillips Stewart. She was married to the late Roosevelt Medley and was a member of Macedonia AME Church.

Mrs. Medley is survived by three sisters, Mildred Goods and Josephine Chambers, both of Milton, N.C., and Nannie Johnson of Leasburg, N.C., two grandchildren, Dominik Short and Shinik Short, both of Semora, N.C., six great-grandchildren; two devoted cousins, Mary Hamlett of Alton and Coolidge Hamlett Jr. of California, Mf., and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by one son, Melvin Lee Stewart, two sisters, Mable Stewart and Flossie A. Graves and five brothers, Raymond Stewart Sr., Paul Philips, George Stewart, Charlie Stewart and John Stewart.

Graveside services will be held Friday, Nov. 20, at 11 a.m. at Macedonia AME Church Cemetery, Milton, N.C., with Rev. Kevin Royster officiating.

Public viewing will be Thursday from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. at Jeffress Funeral Home.

Due to COVID-19 guidelines, a face mask must be worn and social distancing is required.
