Ira ‘Scoot’ Cecil Bowes / April 21, 2011
Ira “Scoot” Cecil Bowes, 67, of 543 US Highway 158, Rougemont, N.C., died Saturday, April 16, 2011 at Rose Manor in Durham, N.C.. He was son of the late John Garner Bowes and Lois Saunders Bowes and was a retired farmer and of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Lou Champion Bowes; a son and his wife, Cecil and Kathi Bows of Roxboro, N.C., two step grandchildren, Kristine Dale and Wayne Dale.
