Jamale Akeem Waller of Charleston, W.Va., and formerly of Halifax County, died on Wednesday, Aug. 2, 2017 in West Virginia at the age of 26.

Mr. Waller was born in Halifax County on April 22, 1991 to Wanda Royal and Michael Waller.

Mr. Waller is survived by a daughter, Leairr Waller of Saxe; his mother, Wanda Royal of South Boston; his father: Michael Waller of Rustburg; two brothers, Eric Waller of Gretna, and Xavier Waller of Lynchburg; eight aunts; three uncles and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends including the devoted Mr. Jessie Williams.
A funeral will be held Tuesday, Aug. 15, at 2 p.m. at The Crawford House Chapel in Halifax with Rev. Michael Byrd officiating. Burial will follow in Halifax Memorial Gardens.

Public viewing for family and friends will be Monday from 10 a.m.-8:00 p.m. at Jeffress Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends at the residence of Pamela Royal, 1911 College Street, South Boston.

Funeral arrangements are by Jeffress Funeral Home.
