Mr. Irby is survived by his wife, Pam McCurry Irby of the home, his parents, Willard and Nettie Irby of Scottsburg, a son, Toby Irby of Weaverville and a daughter, Dana Irby Horton and husband, Kenny of Inman, SC, two step daughters, Brittany and Brooke Allen of Weavervile and a step-son, Brandon Allen and wife Heidi of Asheville, N.C., a sister, Linda Wagstaff and husband Carl of Halifax and a sister, Cathy Taylor and husband, Chris of Leasburg, N.C. and four grandchildren, Dalton, Garrison, Abrielle and Marisa. A funeral for Mr. Irby will be conducted on Tuesday, Feb. 15 at 2:30 p.m. at Brooks Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Doug Sasser and Rev. David Rathel officiating. Burial will follow in the Austin Family cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, Feb. 15 from 1-2 p.m. at Brooks Funeral home Chapel and at other times at the home of his parents, 2102 Guill Town Road, Scottsburg.
