Janie Lovelace Williams of Easley Street, South Boston died Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2014 at the age of 93. Born in Halifax County on Sept. 5, 1921 to the late James Lovelace and Carrie Jennings Lovelace, she was a member of Millstone Baptist Church.

Ms. Williams is survived by a host of nieces and nephews, two devoted great nieces, Rosa Marie Crews of Halifax and Mary Louise Crews of South Boston and a host of other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters and three brothers.

A will be held Saturday, Oct. 18 at 11 a.m. at Millstone Baptist Church with Rev. Paul Crews officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Public viewing for family and friends will be Friday, Oct. 17 from 10 a.m.-8 p.m. at The Crawford House Chapel in Halifax.

Funeral arrangements are by Jeffress Funeral Home.
