Jean Worsham Toone

Jean Worsham Toone of Buffalo Junction died Saturday, May 13, 2017 at the age of 77. Born in Richmond on March 6, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Herman Wakefield Worsham and the late Edith Eileen Coleman and was married to the late Vernon Kimball Toone.

After moving to Clarksville, Jean began working with the U.S. Corp of Engineers at the John H. Kerr Dam, then with the Department of Social Security office in South Boston, where she retired with over 30 years as a federal employee and was the owner of Lakeview Motors. She was a member of Clarksville Baptist Church and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, sewing and reading.

Jean is survived by sons, Brian Kimbell Toone (Connie), and Brent Kerwin Toone (Jennifer); grandchildren, Kimbell, Mario, Mikayla, Bentley, and Dallas; brothers, Duncan Worsham and Ralph Worsham; sister, Sylvia Traylor and numerous nieces and nephews.

Other than her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Billy and Sanford Worsham.

A funeral will be held Tuesday, May 16 at 2 p.m. at Clarksville Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Greg Randall officiating. Burial will follow in the Mausoleum in Woodland Cemetery at Chase City.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 16 from 1-2 p.m. at Clarksville Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Clarksville Baptist Church, PO Box 126, Clarksville, VA 23927.
