Jeanette King Brown, 74, died Monday, Jan. 22, 2018, at the age of 74. Born in Gretna on Aug. 14, 1943, daughter of the late Richard King and Sally King (Garner).

She left two children, Kevin Holt and wife Sherry and Lisa Holt McEntyre and husband Charles; eight grandchildren, Victoria McEntyre, Jessica McEntyre Plain, Daniel Holt, Joshua Holt, Isaiah Holt, Chloe Holt, Samuel Holt, Sarah Holt; three sisters, Meridena Carel and husband Walt, Eva Lacks and husband Jerry “Mike” and Joyce Patrick and husband Robert.

Graveside services were held Saturday, Jan. 27, at 2 p.m. at McKendree United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Jim Brown officiating.
