Jessie Felton Tuck of Virgilina died Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at Sentara Meadowview Terrace at the age of 86.

Mrs. Tuck was born in New York on March 28, 1933 to the late Mordese Felton and Martha Carrington Felton. She was married to the late Arthur Clarence Tuck and was a member of Blue Wing Grove Baptist Church.

Mrs. Tuck is survived by two grandsons, Clarence R. Tuck II and Tariq Ramar Tuck, both of South Boston; one great grandson, Brandon Ramar Tuck of South Boston; a sister, Catherine Felton Fitzgerald of Washington, DC; a daughter-in-law, Barbara Betts Tuck of South Boston; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.

In addition to her parents and spouse, she was preceded in death by a son, Clarence Royal Tuck Sr.; a daughter, Zelda Tuck Richardson; two sisters, Evelyn Felton Carpenter and Geneva Felton Tuck; a brother, Thomas Felton; and a son-in-law, Thomas Richardson.

A funeral will be held Wednesday, May 15 at 1 p.m. with services at Blue Wing Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Lewis Cash officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Public viewing for family and friends will be held Tuesday, May 14 from 10 a.m.-8 p.m. at Jeffress Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends at the residence of Ms. Barbara Tuck, 1223 Fenton Street, South Boston.

Funeral arrangements are by Jeffress Funeral Home.
