Jimmie Berry Elliott, 86, died Monday, Oct. 9, 2017.

Jimmie spent 20 years in the US Air Force. He was extremely proud of his military service. After the military he worked 22 years at the Defense General Supply Center where he retired in 1996. Jimmie’s favorite things to do were square dancing, working on his farm, and fishing.

Survived by his loving wife of 26 years Ellen Louise Elliott and sister-in-law Elsie Gantt, his daughters Elaine E. LaMaster, Donna E. Pruden, grandchildren Renee Mays (Viktor), Chris Pruden, Josh Pruden (Nicole), Charlotte LaMaster, Jasmine Elliott, great grandchildren Marshall, Johnnie, Hallie, Evey, step great grandchildren Kayla, John, Abbey; and his sisters Rose Whitt (Crowder) and Patsie Parker (Hank).

He is preceded in death by his son Johnnie E. Elliott.

A funeral will be held Thursday, Oct. 12 at 2 p.m. at Watkins Cooper Lyon Chapel with burial at Nelson Baptist Church Cemetery. Pastor Tony Kohout of Buford Road Baptist will officiate.

The family will receive viewing at Bliley’s Funeral Home Chippenham, 6900 Hull Street Road Wednesday, Oct. 11 from 6-8 p.m. and at Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home on Thursday, Oct. 12 from 1–2 p.m.
