Mr. John Henry Williams Jr., 68, of Williams Trail, Halifax, died on Wednesday, July 1, 2020 at Duke University Hospital. He was born in Halifax County on Feb. 17, 1952, son of the late John Henry Williams, Sr. and Ida Mae Mills Williams. He was married to Josephine Williams and was a member of The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses.

Mr. Williams is survived by his wife, Josephine Williams of the home; one son, Howard Williams (Tia) of South Boston; two daughters, Cherry Crews of Halifax and Alissia Lenihan (Jonathan) of Stafford; his grandchildren; two sisters, Rosa Mae Carrington (Charles) of Edgewood, Md., and Delma Marable of Halifax; two brothers, Thomas Williams (Patricia) and Robert Earl Williams (Lucinda), all of Halifax; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Public viewing will be Friday, July 10 from 10 a.m.-8 p.m. at Jeffress Funeral Home. Funeral services will be private.
