John James Doyle of Alton, formerly of Old Bridge, N.J., died Monday, May 6, 2019 at his home. He was born in Roscommon, Ireland on March 30, 1928 and was 91 years old. He was the son of the late Michael Doyle and Annie Neary Doyle and was married to the late Bridie Anne Sharkey Doyle. He was of Roman Catholic faith, was a Korean Conflict Army veteran, and was retired from AT&T in New York.

Survivors include a daughter, Patricia Anne Goetz and husband William of Sayreville, N.J., two sons, John Thomas Doyle of College Point, N.Y., and Tommy Doyle of Alton; and granddaughter Theresa Anne Goetz and grandson John Anthony Doyle.

He was preceded in death by a son, Michael B. Doyle.
