SoVaNow.com / September 15, 2020

John Patterson Bouldin, 70, of Richmond, died Saturday, Sept. 5, 2020.

Mr. Bouldin was born in Mecklenburg County, on May 25, 1950 to the late Cedric W. and Hortense Williams Bouldin. He graduated from West End High School, and continued his education at Hampton Institute and Southside Community College. It was during this time that he found his passion and pride as an electrician. His combination of using his mathematical acumen, working with his hands and his love for the outdoors proved to help start a lifelong rewarding career.

Mr. Bouldin was dedicated to his trade as a master electrician. He worked on many construction projects with Brown & Root.

He mastered his skills on major projects in Mecklenburg County, Texas, North Carolina and finally with Henrico Doctors Hospital for 25 years upon his retirement. One of his proudest moments was being recognized by Henrico Doctor's Hospital Administration for his contributions and having his mother, Hortense Williams Bouldin by his side.

He leaves to cherish his memory, three sisters, Gloria H. Bouldin and Paula L. Bouldin of Richmond and Rhonda B. Gaines (Michael, Sr.) of Warwick, Pa., two nephews, one niece and a host of cousins and extended family.

Due to the restrictions of Covid-19, a memorial service will be held at a later date.
