John Vaden Chiles, age 59, of Saxe, died Friday, Oct. 6, 2017. He was born Oct. 14, 1957 in Farmville. He was a truck driver for J.D. Newman, Inc. and a member of Keysville United Methodist Church.

John loved spending time with his girls, being at home, working in his shop, and riding motorcycles with his friends.

John is survived by his wife, Sharon Daly Chiles; daughter, Beth Pulliam and husband, David of Danville, VA; three granddaughters, Sidney Foster, Mikayah Pulliam, and Summerlyn Pulliam; mother, Barbara Jones Chiles of Keysville, brother, Greg Chiles and wife, Lisa of New Kent, two nieces, Holly Chiles and Victoria Chiles; two great-nephews, Kolton and Levi; mother-in-law, Mary Phillips Martin; three brothers-in-law, James "Beetle" Daly, Kenneth "Legs" Daly, and David Daly Jr.; numerous friends; and beloved dogs, Maggie and Sadie.

He was predeceased by his father, William Vaden Chiles.

A memorial service was held Sunday, Oct. 8, at 2 p.m. at the Newcomb Allgood Funeral Home Chapel.
