John Will “Johnnie” Lacks Jr., 57, of Nathalie, died Monday, Dec. 18, 2017. He was born in Halifax County on April 29, 1960, a, son of the late John Will Lacks Sr. and Connie Martin Lacks. He was a member of South Boston Church of God.

Mr. Lacks is survived by three daughters, Wendy Crews (Adam) of South Boston, Jill Frazier (Frank) of Raleigh, N.C., and Elizabeth Lacks of Clover; one son, Jacob Lacks (Moriah) of Halifax; three grandchildren, Nikki Jones, Ally Jones, Easton Crews; and one sister, Dale Franklin (Bill) of South Boston.

Memorial services will be held Thursday, Dec. 21 at 11 a.m. at Powell Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. T. Wayne Daniels officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service at the funeral home.
