Jonathan Wayne Martin “J Five”, 35, of Chesterfield, died Tuesday, Sept. 21, 2021. He was born in Halifax County on July 25, 1986, son of Eddie Carlyle Martin and the late Ramona Sparks Hubbard. He was of the Baptist faith, kind, very thoughtful, good with children and animals.

Jonathan was well loved by his family and many friends and he will be missed.

Mr. Martin is survived by his father, Eddie C. Martin and wife Patricia; grandmother, Carol Sparks and husband George Robertson; siblings, Tony martin, Courtney Luckado and husband Shane; niece and nephews, Lila Grace Martin, Jax Martin and Jeffery Luckado; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Ramona Sparks; grandmother, Joyce Martin; and grandfathers, Charles Sparks and Carlyle Martin.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, Oct. 16, at 2 p.m. at Crystal Hill Southern Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Norman Talley officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the fellowship hall of the church.
