Mr. Kelvin Douglas Coleman Sr. of Kentuck Road, Ringgold died June 3, 2010 at his home at the age of 52. Born in Halifax County on August 2, 1957, he was the son of Virginia Coleman Daniel and was a United States Navy veteran.

He is survived by two sons, Kelvin D Coleman Jr. of Phoenix, Az. and William E. Coleman of Richmond, his mother of Halifax and a brother, Fletcher Daniel Jr., also of Halifax, two grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

A funeral service for Mr. Coleman will be held Tuesday, June 8 at 2 p.m. at Spanish Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Ronnie M. Womack officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family is receiving friends at the home of Mrs. Virginia C. Daniel, 3165 Ball Park Loop, Halifax.
