Larry Ford “Scutt” Hudson died Monday, April 25, 2011 in Comanche, Ok. He was born in Halifax County on Aug.30, 1951, the son of the late David E. Hudson Sr. and Janie S. Hudson.

He is survived by his fiance’ Jodie Kouns of Comanche, and sons, David Eudell Hudson and wife Tabitha and Jessie Lynn Pulliam, and wife Karen, all of Comanche, and grandchildren, Montana, Kerrigan and Cora Hudson and Rayna Pulliam. Also surviving are two brothers, Lucky Lee Hudson and David E. Hudson Jr., all of South Boston and three sisters, Louise East of King, N.C., Anne Wilkerson and Gail Hammock, both of South Boston and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. his wife, Barbara Jean Hudson and a brother, William Emmett Whitt.

A memorial service honoring him was held on Tuesday, April 26 at 7 p.m. at the home of David Hudson, 8195 Philpott Road, South Boston.
