Lawrence Arnold Butler, 94, of Sutherlin, died Saturday, April 3, 2021 at Riverside Health and Rehabilitation. He was born on May 23, 1926, in Draper, N.C., to the late Frank D. Butler and Vera Robertson Butler. He was a farmer and he was a member of Kerns Memorial United Methodist Church. He served his country in the United States Army, during WWII.

Mr. Butler is survived by his son, Charles Woodson and his wife Jeanette of Yanceyville, N.C.; his daughter, Nancy McBride of Danville; and sister-in-law, Chrys Woodson.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Moore Butler, brother Howard Butler and son Harold Woodson.

Graveside services will be held Monday, April 12, at 2 p.m. at Mt. View Cemetery with Rev. Bob Huffman officiating. Military honors will be rendered by the United States Army and American Legion Post 1097.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that donation be made to a charity of your choice.

Due to COVID restrictions and guidelines, attendees are asked to wear a mask and practice social distancing.
