Lawrence Edward Miller Jr.

Lawrence Edward “Shorty” Miller Jr., 34, of Tanglewylde Drive, South Boston died Sunday, Sept. 9, 2012. He was born in Halifax County on September 27, 1977, a son of Lawrence Edward Miller Sr. and the late Gail Diana Coles. He was married to LaToya Torian Miller and was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church.

In addition to his father and wife, he is survived by one son, Jaheim Rogers of the home; five sisters, La’Toya Miller, Katrina Miller, Lawanda Miller, Lakeisha Miller and Lashonda Miller, all of South Boston; one brother, Le’Anthony Miller and wife Erica of Scottsburg; his father and mother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. John and Janice Torian of Scottsburg; two sisters-in-law, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A funeral will be held Saturday, Sept. 15, 2 p.m. at Bethlehem Baptist Church with Rev. Ronnie Womack officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John and Janice Torian, 5207 Dryburg Drive, Scottsburg.

Funeral services by Jeffress Funeral Home, 2000 North Main Street, South Boston.
