Lindsey Harold Womack Jr. / January 22, 2018

Lindsey “Jr.” Harold Womack Jr., of Scottsburg, died Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2018 at his home at the age of 74.

Born in Halifax County on Feb. 7, 1943, he was the son of the late Lindsey Harold Womack Sr. and Sallie Wallace Womack.

Jr is survived by his son, Robert A. Womack of South Boston; his grandchildren, Robert James “RJ” and Renee Lynn Womack of South Boston; and his special friend, Helen Watts also survives.

In addition to his parents, Lindsey was preceded in death by his son, Lindsey H. Womack III. Lindsey (or Jr. as his friends knew him) was a retired painter.

The family is receiving friends at his home, 5201 James D. Hagood Hwy., Scottsburg.

A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
