Murder suspect in Halifax County turns himself in

Lorraine Florence Lewis, 91, of 2007 Grubby Road, Halifax, died Monday, Feb. 28, 2011. She was born in Pennsylvania on Oct. 18, 1919 and married to the late J.B. Lewis. She was a lifetime member of Tall Cedars Masonic Lodge in Alexandria and was a homemaker.

She is survived by a son, Cliff Hertzog of Halifax; a granddaughter, Audrey Powell; and a close family friend, Lois Hamm. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Steven Hertzog and a grandson, Jeffrey Polk.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, March 5 at Brooks Funeral Home at 2 p.m.
