Margaret Loftis Cole, 87, widow of Charles B. “CB” Cole, died Monday, March 11, 2019. Born in Halifax County on July 29, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Jimmie Loftis. She was a member of Shady Grove United Methodist Church and was a member of the United Methodist Women of the church. She loved gardening and flowers. For 44 years, she was employed at JP Stevens as an office personnel.

Survivors are a daughter, Debbie Puckett and husband Billy; and sister, Elsie Carter.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Edith Childress and brothers Carlton Loftis and Keith Loftis.

A funeral will be held Thursday, March 14, at 2 p.m. at Shady Grove United Methodist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service at the church.
