Margaret Shotwell Ford, 76, died Sunday, March 29, 2020. She was born on Feb. 13, 1944 to the late Henry Alfred Shotwell and the late Gracie Virginia Lowery Shotwell. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Henry Ford.

Margaret was a member of Alton Baptist Church and loved attending her church. She loved music, her friends and family and her church and her faith.

Left to cherish her memories are daughters, Tammatha Smith and husband Donnie and Melinda Held and husband Charles; grandchildren, Tiffany Smith, Kimberly Foster and husband Paul, Michael Evans and wife Emily, Terry Clayton III and Chelsea Held; great-grandchildren, Madelynn Faith Hedden, Jesse Ramey, Joseph Smith, Taylor Evans and Grayson Evans; step great-grandchild, McKenzie Snead; and brother, Alfred Ray Shotwell and wife Bonnie.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Wayne Shotwell and sisters Nancy Poythress and Erelen Shotwell.

The family will have a private graveside service, however a memorial service will be held at a later date.

The family will receive friends at 7202 Philpott Road, South Boston.
