Marie Estelle Webster Wade

Marie Estelle Webster Wade, age 80, of Evington, born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and beloved wife, mother and grandmother died Friday, Dec. 8, 2017 at home with her family at her side.

She had retired from the Lane Company as a credit manager.

She is survived by her husband, William Quintus Wade of 60 years; two sons, Donald Q. Wade and his wife Linda and Thomas H. Wade and his wife Melanie and a daughter, Diane M. Wade; five grandchildren, Hollie Wade, Brian Wade, Emily Wade, Brandon Wade and Kalie Wiltshire; two step grandchildren Mark Ramthun and Laura Ramthun; two sisters Barbara Davis of Richmond, and Geraldine (Geri) and Gerald Porter of West Chester, Pa. She is also survived by two nephews; Peter Porter and Andrew Porter and three nieces; Carolyn Davis, Deborah Slick, Patricia Callaham and four great nephews and three great nieces.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Viola Webster; one brother Tommy Webster.

The family will celebrate her life privately Saturday, Dec. 16 from 2:30-3:30 p.m. and will receive friends from 3:30 -5: p.m. at Finch & Finch Funeral and Cremation Service, Altavista.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Altavista YMCA or your favorite charity.

The family would like to thank Centra Hospice for their help in the closing days and Gretna Health and Rehabilitation Center for the care they provided to Marie during her stay.
