Mary Alice Towery Pulley, age 75, of Roxboro, N.C., died Saturday, Oct. 10, 2020. She was born Dec. 9, 1944 in Mecklenburg County, and was the daughter of the late Thomas Roland Towery and the late Edna Jarrell Towery. She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church at Timberlake and a retired tobacco grader for the US Department of Agriculture. 

Mary Alice is survived by her son, Anthony Hatcher (Sandra) of Amelia, grandchild, Rennie Hatcher; sister, Jane Gentry (Frankie) of Roxboro, N.C.; brother, Gerald Towery (Linda) of Warrenton, sister-in-law, Patsy Towery; nieces and nephews, Regina Dodson, Keith Towery, Karen Pittard, Mark Towery, and Andy Newcomb; and many co-workers and friends. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Steven Wayne Dickerson; brother, Wayne Towery; and sister, Betty Jo Jackson. 

Graveside services were held Monday, Oct. 12, at Friendship United Methodist Church cemetery.
