Michael David Perkins

Michael David Perkins, 56, of Halifax, died Monday, Sept. 9, 2013 at Halifax Regional Hospital. He was born Aug. 25, 1957 in Halifax County, a son of the late Archer Raymond Perkins and Kathryn Clark Perkins and was a member of Pleasant Grove Christian Church.

Mike is survived by one sister, Mary Elizabeth Jones and husband Luke of Halifax; one brother, William Clark and wife Sandra of Halifax; one niece, Pam Thomas and husband Herman of Halifax; special cousin, Lisa Marsh and husband Bobby of South Boston; a special friend, Lindy Hardy of Halifax; adopted grandchildren, Blake and Elizabeth Hardy; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, Sept. 12 at 2 p.m. at Pleasant Grove Christian Church with Rev. Ed Melvin officiating.

The family will receive friends following the service, and at other times, at the home of his brother, William Clark, 2005 Oak Level Road, Halifax.
