Michael Dean Gregory, 52, of South Boston, died Sunday, Nov. 3, 2013 at Halifax Regional Hospital. He was born in Halifax County on Dec. 6, 1960, a son of John Richard Gregory and Constance “Connie” Jones Gregory. He was married to Sonja Anderson Gregory and formerly attended Grace Baptist Church. He was a graduate of Washington & Lee University and was proprietor of Gregory Jewelry Store, Farmville.

In addition to his parents and wife, Michael is survived by his daughter, Lauren Gregory of South Boston; one brother, Rick Gregory of Richmond; his mother-in-law, Lois Anderson of Chatham and his brothers-in-law, Donald Anderson of Kentuck and Barry Anderson of Powhatan.

A funeral was held Wednesday, Nov. 6 at 2 p.m. at Grace Baptist Church with Rev. Jack Stewart and Rev. Brian Smutz officiating. Burial followed in Oakland Cemetery, Scottsburg.
