Michael Nathaniel Edmonds

Michael Nathaniel Edmonds, 56, of Paul Pry Trail, Halifax, died Friday, Feb. 8, 2013 at his home. He was born in Halifax County on July 3, 1966, a son of Catherine Chappell Woods and the late William Lee Edmonds.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by one daughter, Nakeitha Edmonds of South Boston; one son, Jarell Edmonds of Richmond; two grandchildren; five sisters, Patricia Edmonds of Florida, Marguerite Edmonds of South Boston, Rebecca Bailey of Crystal Hill, Mary Jones and Rosa Jones, both of South Boston; three brothers, Braxton Edmonds of South Boston, John Edmonds of El Centro, Calif., and Jerald Edmonds of Florida; other relatives and friends, including Jerry Medley, Sr. He was preceded in death by one brother, William Edmonds Jr.

A funeral will be held Saturday, Feb. 16, at noon at Greater Mayfield Apostolic Church with District Elder Bernard Wilkins officiating. Burial will follow in the Edmonds Family Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at 1060 Paul Pry Trail, Halifax.
