Mildred Ann Henderson of Nathalie died Friday, March 13, 2020 at Lynchburg General Hospital. She was born Nov. 17, 1928 in Halifax County and was 91 years old. She was the daughter of the late Frank R. and Maggie M. Henderson.

She was a member of the Catawba Baptist Church and an honorary member of the Liberty Christian Church. She was a retired teacher from Halifax Country Public Schools after 38 years of service.

Miss Henderson is survived by a sister-in-law, Christine D. Henderson of Nathalie; two nieces, Kay Tietz (Paul) of Sparks, Nev., and Diane Henderson of Halifax; one nephew, Keith Henderson (Lindy) of Nathalie; great nephew, Kyle Henderson (Karla) of Nathalie; and four great- nieces, Maggie Gierard (Isaac) of San Francisco, Megan Nipper of Halifax, and Kaitlin and Tessy Henderson both of Nathalie.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Malcolm B. and James L. Henderson; one sister, Margaret M. Henderson; sister-in-law, Barbara O. Henderson; and one niece, Kim R. Henderson

Graveside services will be held Tuesday, March 17, at 2 p.m. at the Catawba Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Jack Stewart officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the Catawba Baptist Church.
