Nancy Crowder Walker Putze, of 452 Southland Drive, Danville, passed away Sunday, Sept. 7, 2014 at the Danville Regional Medical Center.

She was born in Danville on Feb. 17, 1930, a daughter of the late Charles F. Crowder and Iris Ellengton Crowder. She was preceded in death by her first husband Ralph S. Walker. Nancy was a member of Shelton Memorial Presbyterian Church and the Danville Golf Club.

She is survived by her husband, Charles E. Putze, of the residence, one son, Charles Alan Walker of Danville; one step-son, Michael Edward Putze and wife Leslie of Spartansburg, S.C.; one grandson, Kevin Alan Walker of Raleigh, N.C.; one step-grandson, David Rogers of Buffton, S.C.; and one step-great-grandson.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, Sept. 11, at 2 p.m. at Mountain View Cemetery with the Rev. Paul Johnson officiating. The family will receive friends at the residence.

The family suggests that memorials may be made to the Danville Life Saving Crew, 202 Christopher Lane, Danville, VA 24541 or to a charity of your choice.
