Nancy Walker Williams, 87, died Friday, Oct. 1, 2021. She was born in Halifax County on Dec. 6, 1933 to Hammett and Hilda Walker. She graduated from Turbeville High School and St. Elizabeth School of Nursing in Richmond. Nancy had a nursing career of 42 years, primarily as an O.R. nurse at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami. In retirement, she enjoyed volunteering, raising orchids and spending time with her beloved poodle Susie. After living in Miami for over 50 years, she moved to North Carolina to be near her family.

She is survived by her sisters, Marcella Hayes of Solomons, Md., and Hilda Williamson of Gibsonville, N.C.; and many nieces and nephews.

Nancy was predeceased by her sisters, Christine Cole, Pearle Bobrowiecki and Ida Snell.

A private family memorial will be held at a later date.
