Nancy (Dawson) Willis Evans, 84, of Rock Hill, S.C., died Wednesday, Nov. 3, 2021 at MCV, Richmond. She was born on Sept. 25, 1937 to the late Tom Wylie and Teel Dawson Willis and was married to the late Robert Holt Evans, of Halifax. She attended Salem College before marrying Holt to travel and live a full life in many countries before finally settling down at 415 Mountain Road.

Nancy and Holt were very active in the community, supporting The Prizery and South Boston Museum, along with many other organizations, charities, and local businesses and she was an avid bridge player.

Ms. Evans is survived by her two children, Robert Holt (Anna) and Elizabeth Teel Evans (Michael), and eight grandchildren, Alex, Nicholas, Eliza, Dawson, Trent, Malin, John and Laura.

A funeral will be held Saturday, Nov. 13 at 1 p.m. at St. John’s Episcopal Church, Mountain Road, Halifax, followed by a reception at 415 Mountain Road. There will also be an ongoing open house at her home from 6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 12 through the weekend.
