Peggy Andrews Walker, 82, of South Boston, died Monday, Nov. 25, 2019. She was born in Halifax County on July 19, 1937, daughter of the late Charlie D. Andrews and the late Mary East Andrews. She was married to the late Cecil Oliver Walker, was a member of Centerville Baptist Church and retired from Burlington Mills, Halifax.

Ms. Walker is survived by her daughter, Tammy Lynn Walker of South Boston and sibling Wayne Andrews of Halifax.

She was preceded in death by siblings J.T. Andrews, Ralph Andrews, Ollis Andrews, Raye Henderson, Alease Stephens, Ruby Betterton, Joan Crowder and Randolph “Randy” Andrews.

Graveside services will be held Friday, Nov. 29, 2:00 p.m. at Halifax Memorial Gardens with Rev. Todd McClure and Rev. Coy Terry officiating.

The family will receive friends at her home, 1609 Jeffress Blvd., South Boston. Memorials may be directed to Centerville Baptist Mission Funds, 3200 Halifax Road, South Boston, VA 24592.
