Rachel Denise Salley (Nisey), 60, of Chase City, died Thursday, Feb. 28, 2019 at Centra Lynchburg General Hospital, Lynchburg.

Miss Salley was born in Washington, DC on March 23, 1958 to the late William E. and Annie C. Salley. She was a 1976 graduate of Bluestone Senior High School, Skipwith, and a member of Silone Baptist Church, Chase City. Miss Salley was a retiree of Mecklenburg Correctional Center.

She leaves to cherish her memories three brothers, Christopher Salley (Janice) of Chase City, William “Alonzo” Salley of Neptune, N.J., and Timothy Salley (Rosalyn) of South Hill, five sisters, Agatha Salley, Karen Rowlett and Audrey Salley all of Chase City, Michelle Salley of South Hill, and Vera Winbush (Junious) of Henderson, N.C., and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Adora C. Salley.

A funeral was held Monday, March 4, at Silone Baptist Church, with Rev. Linda Goode officiating. Burial will follow in Silone Memorial Garden.
