Robert Alvin Noblin Jr. of 2089 Mountain Road, Halifax died Dec. 21, 2010 at VA Medical Center in Durham, N.C. Born in Halifax County on May 4, 1948, he was 62 at the time of his death. He was the son of the late Robert Alvin Noblin Sr. and Carolyn Perry Noblin. He was an Army veteran, having served three tours of duty in Vietnam.

Mr. Noblin is survived by one sister, Judith Powell Hudson of Halifax, two daughters, Tamara Evans of Rancho Cordova, Calif. and Josey Mae Noblin of South Boston and two grandchildren, and a special friend, Texi Snead of Halifax. A special thanks to Marie and Paul Burrows for their help during Robert’s illness.
