Robert Edward ‘Bobby’ Crews

Robert Edward “Bobby” Crews, 63, of Virgilina, died Monday, April 22, 2013 at his home. He was born in Louisville, Ky., on April 27, 1949, a son of the late Alonzo Merritt Crews Jr. and Ann Florine Nichols Crews. He was married to Gail Francis Crews, was a member of Hyco Ruritan Club, American Legion Post 8 and was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by one sister, Kimberly Crews Barker and Bennie of Hurt; two brothers, Billy Crews and Lisa of Scottsburg, Charles Merritt Crews of Nathalie; one daughter, Dana Spangler Roberts and Christopher of Gum Spring; two grandsons, Aaron Wagstaff and Nathan Roberts, both of Gum Spring.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, April 25, at 2 p.m. at Clover Cemetery with Rev. Norman Talley officiating.
