South Boston Council votes in favor of cigarette tax

Roger Dale Clay

Roger Dale Clay, 40, of South Hill, died Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2017. He was born in Halifax County on June 23, 1977, a son of the late Overton Clay and Patricia Anderson. He was married to April Renee Baker Clay and was employed by Blue Ridge Regional Jail Authorities.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Clay is survived by five children, Blair Clay, Bryce Clay, Cameron Kinker, Clint Kinker and Cody Kinker, all of South Hill; four sisters, Kathy Smith and husband Ronnie of Cluster Springs, Deborah Conner of Cluster Springs, Joann Miller of Cluster Springs and Tammy Fisher and husband Michael of Cluster Springs; one brother, Michael Anderson of South Boston; special friends, Wayne and Connie Hall of South Hill and a host of in-laws.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.
