Ronald Steven Wilborne of Scottsburg died on Saturday, Aug. 5, 2017 at Meadowview Terrace in Clarksville at the age of 66.

Mr. Wilborne was born March 19, 1951 in Halifax County to the late Bernice Wooden and Robert Donald Scott. He was first a member of St. Matthew Baptist Church and later joined First Baptist Church on Ferry Street in South Boston.

Mr. Wilborne is survived by his step mother, Josephine Scott Jeffress of Woodbridge; a sister, Vernall Moss and husband, Walter of Clover; three brothers, Larry Scott and wife, Joyce of Camden, N.J., Nazenetha Scott and wife, Audrey, Rodney Scott and wife, Kenyatta, all of Woodbridge; two step sisters, Ianatha Lipcomb of South Boston and Zenobia Terry of Scottsburg; a sister-in-law, Christine Scott; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and devoted friends.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Marshall D. Scott and his adopted parents, Ernest and Bessie Wilborne.

A funeral will be will be held Saturday, Aug. 12 at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church on Ferry Street with Rev. Allan G. Smith officiating.

Public viewing hours will be Friday, Aug. 11 from 10 a.m.-8:00 p.m. at Jeffress Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends at the service.
