Rosa L. Lawson

Rosa L. Lawson, 76, of Alton, died Sunday, April 16, 2017 at Person Memorial Hospital, Roxboro, N.C. She was born in Halifax County on Augu.31, 1940, a daughter of the late Joseph Lawson and Lucy Garfield Lawson. She was married to the late Robert Lawson and was a member of Denniston Grove Baptist Church.

Mrs. Lawson is survived by two sisters, Mary Bolling of Alton and Janie Poole of Roxboro, N.C., five sisters-in-law, four brothers-in-law, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Margaret Lawson and three brothers, Eugene Lawson, Samuel Lawson and Peter Paul Lawson.

A funeral will be held Sunday, April 23 at 2 p.m. at Denniston Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Spencer Woods officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Public viewing will be Saturday, April 22 from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. with family receiving friends from 5-6 p.m. at Jeffress Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends at 1110 Bethel Hill Road, Alton.
