Rose Marie Shaffer

Rose Marie Shaffer, 72, of Vernon Hill, died April 29, 2018 in Pasadena, Md. She was born March 5, 1946 in Pittsburgh, Pa. She was the daughter of the late Frank Edward Brim and the late Frances Rabold Brim and was married to the late John William Reidell (for 33 years) and the late Edwin Robert Shaffer Jr. (for 12 years). She was a member of the Faith Community Church.

Mrs. Shaffer is survived by one daughter, Dawn Frances Churchhill of Lexington Park, Md., one son, John B. Reidell and wife Salina of Pasadena, Ms., two stepsons, Eric Shaffer and wife Desiree of Vernon Hill and David Shaffer of Akron, Ohio, one stepdaughter, Laurie Wright and husband Jim; four grandchildren, John Robert Reidell and wife Brooke, Stephanie Reidell, Noah Reidell and Nicholas Reidell; five step-grandchildren, Jeff Shaffer Jr. and wife Kate, Dalton, Dominique, Chase and Taylor Shaffer; three great-grandchildren, Noah, C.J. and Brooklyn Shaffer.

A funeral will be held Saturday, May 5 at 2 p.m. at Powell Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dane Skelton officiating. Burial will follow in the Pecan Hill Farm Family Cemetery, Vernon Hill.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to service at Powell Funeral Home and other times at the home of Eric and Desiree Shaffer, Vernon Hill.
