Rosemary Pena Ramirez of Vernon Hill died Friday, Dec. 15, 2017. She was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. on Jan. 21, 1940 and was 77 years of age. She was the daughter of the late Al Pena and the late Emma Miranda Pena and was married to Henry Emilio Ramirez who survives.

She was a member of Deliverance Tabernacle and Union Grove CME.

In addition to her husband she is survived by three daughters, Cynthia Rendon (Daniel Cashmar) of Bohemia, N.Y., Carole Rendon (Chisholm) of South Boston and Dawn Ramirez of Alton, two sons, Michael Rendon of Myrtle Beach, S.C., and Richard Rendon (Heidi) of Lindenhurst, N.Y.; two brothers, William Pena (Celeste) of Selden, N.Y., and Albert Pena of Pennsylvania; two sisters, Gloria Pena of Smithtown, N.Y., and Carole Pena of Charlotte, N.C.; 20 grandchildren and 40 great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
