Roy Lee Sanford Jr.

Roy Lee Sanford Jr. of Belt Boulevard, South Boston, formerly of Baltimore, Md., died Thursday, Nov. 1, 2012 at Halifax Regional Hospital at the age of 39.

Born in Baltimore, Md., on June 20, 1973, he was the son of Roy Lee Sanford Sr. and the late Louise Delois Bailey Sanford.

Mr. Sanford is survived by his father of South Boston, three sisters, Pamela Petty, Tiffany Sanford and Kaprice Robinson, all of Baltimore, two brothers, Rodney Petty and Kameron Robinson, also of Baltimore, a brother-in-law, Robert Maddox III of Baltimore, an uncle, Marshall Bailey of South Boston, four aunts, Lelia L. Simms, Delia Sanford, both of Baltimore, Elvira Carden of South Boston and Christine Williams of New York and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A memorial service for Mr. Sanford will be conducted on Tuesday, Nov. 6 at noon at Jeffress Funeral Home chapel in South Boston.

The family is receiving friends at the residence, 1040 Belt Boulevard, Apt. A, South Boston. Funeral services are by Jeffress Funeral Home, North Main Street, South Boston.
