Ruth S. Hazelwood Andrews, 83, of Clover died Monday, July 8, 2019. She was born in Halifax County on Jan. 12, 1936, daughter of the late Pete Sidney Snead and the late Henreitta Vivian Conner Snead. She was first married to the late Winston Raleigh Hazelwood and then to the late Ralph Donald Andrews and was a member of Clover United Methodist Church. Ruth loved the outdoors, working in her yard, garden and loved her hummingbirds. She also enjoyed visiting her grandchildren.

Ms. Andrews is survived by her daughter, Jo Anne Lloyd and husband Daniel of Clover; three grandchildren, Dustin Lee Lloyd and wife Becky of Oak Level, Jason Allen Lloyd and Michelle of Clover and Joseph Lloyd and wife Lisa of Durham, N.C.; great-grandchildren, Bethany, Bridget and Isaac Comer and Dagan Crews; her sister, Connie Perkins; special friends, Doll Newcomb and Alma Terry.

She was preceded in death by siblings Ella S. Powell, Arie Martin, Sally Powell, Annie Hatcher, Geneva Andrews, Helen Ritt, Sam Snead and John Snead.

A funeral will be held Thursday, July 11, at 2 p.m. at Clover United Methodist Church with Rev. Kerry Halbert officiating. Burial will follow in the Clover Cemetery.

The family received friends Wednesday from 7-8:30 p.m. at Powell Funeral Home.
