Sally Bett Sydnor Coleman

Sally Bett Sydnor Coleman, 82, Coles Ferry Road, Nathalie died Tuesday, Aug. 27, 2013 at The Woodview Nursing Home. She was born July 26, 1931 in Halifax County, a daughter of the late Edward Lee Sydnor and Katie Jackson Sydnor, was married to Jimmie Lee Coleman and was a member of Brown’s Memorial Church of God in Christ.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by one daughter, Helen Sydnor of Scottsburg; one son, William Sydnor and wife Betty of Nathalie; seven grandchildren, including the devoted Inez Lacks; 16 great-grandchildren; one sister, Katie Coleman and husband Charles of Clover; one brother-in-law, Charlie Jennings; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by one sister, Martha Jennings and six brothers, Mark, Charles, PerAllen, Fred, Joe and George Sydnor.

A funeral will be held Monday, Sept. 2, at 11 a.m. at Brown’s Memorial Church of God in Christ with Pastor William Mosby, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends at 1127 Hardings Mill Road, Nathalie.
