Ms. Tucker is survived by her god-daughter, Nakia Ruffin of Baltimore, Md., three sisters, Bettie Tucker Guy of Halifax, Emma Tucker Caison of Baltimore, and Shelby Clements of Ardmore, Ok., two brothers, Clarence Tucker Jr. of Baltimore, and Richard Tucker of Jacksonville, Fla., her grandmother, Emma Tucker of Wilmington, Del., and three devoted nieces, three nephews including the devoted Joseph Tucker, whom she thought of as a son, seven aunts, five uncles and a host of other relatives and devoted friends including her sorority sisters of Swing Phi Swing, In addition to her parents, Ms. Tucker was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Jackson.
A funeral will be conducted on Saturday, March 23 at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church, Ferry Street, South Boston with Rev. Yvonne Bostick officiating. Burial will follow at Crystal Hill Baptist Church cemetery.
The family is receiving friends at the residence of Bettie Tucker Guy, 1009 Tucker Road, Halifax.
