Shirleen Ann Howard of Liberty Road, Nathalie died Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at her residence at the age of 55. Ms. Howard was born in Washington, DC on Sept. 21, 1955 to the late Joseph Howard Sr. and Shirley Mae Nabinett Howard. She was a member of Rock of Salvation Refuge Temple Apostolic Church.

Ms. Howard is survived by a daughter,Denise Howard of South Boston, a son, Michael Howard of Washington,DC, a grandchild,five brothers, Joseph Howard Jr. and wife Theresa, Thomas Howard, all of Halifax, James Howard and wife Dianne, Benjamin Howard and wife Harriett, Raliegh Howard and wife Dee-Dee, all of Washington, DC,three aunts, MMarie Nabinett, Connie Lucas and Pauline McClendon and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

A funeral for Ms. Howard will be conducted on Tuesday, May 3 at 2 p.m. at The Crawford House chapel in Halifax with Pastor David Chalmers officiating. Burial will follow in the New Zion Baptist Church cemetery.

The family is receiving friends at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Howard Jr., 2024 Meadville Road, Halifax. Public viewing for family and friends will be Monday from 10 a.m.-8 p.m. at The Crawford House.
