Shirley Spraggins Benfield

Shirley Spraggins Benfield, age 75 of Spottsylvania, died Friday, Sept. 6, 2013.

She is survived by her sons, Wade (Beverly) of Spottsylvania, and Jerry (Sharon) of Sandy Level; one daughter Nancy Lee of Siler City, N.C. Also surviving are four brothers, Roger Spraggins, Herbert Spraggins and Clyde Spraggins, all of Baskerville and Ed Spraggins of Hanover; one sister, Stella Newsom of Chase City; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, Sept. 11, at 11 a.m. at Bethany Baptist Church.

The family received friends Tuesday.
